Three-dimensional Philips 3D WOWvx displays in Mercedes campaign

Philips Poland and Deep Flame, the 3D content producer, has just furnished the Polish network of Mercedes-Benz dealerships with autostereoscopic three-dimensional Philips 3D WOWvx 42” LCDs.

Mercedes Campaign

This outstanding project relates to the premiere of a new Mercedes E model scheduled for March 28. Before that, customers will be able to learn about the new E-class vehicles in most authorized Mercedes-Benz dealerships in Poland by watching innovative 3D visualizations. 42-inch displays will present 3D images of the car and video coverage produced using Philips 3D WOWvx technology enabling 3D viewing without using spectacles. This is the first instance of using the Philips 3D WOWvx technology in Poland at such a massive scale.

“Until recently, we used to think of 3D TV as a futuristic vision. And today we are being surprised by images “jumping” out of the display. Video production opportunities are limitless: we can remake the existing material, create new videos, design spectacular 3D animations, or freely combine all these techniques. One can hardly ignore this new development,” said Arthur Borowiec, Deep Flame owner.

“I am certain the Philips 3D WOWvx technology will impress Mercedes customers before the premiere of the new model. The Deep Flame’s video surprises with its marvelous 3D effects, which, combined with the outstanding design of the new Mercedes, produces a phenomenal effect,” said Mariusz Chludzinski from Philips Poland.

Philips 3D WOWvx displays deployed in the public space, presenting professional advertising content, are the most effective means of capturing attention of prospective customers. The spectacle-free 3D effects will attract attention of anyone within the viewing range. The displays are typically used in Digital Signage systems installed in most prominent locations. They are the future of “infotainment” in public locations where the conventional, and somewhat trite, 2D technology still prevails.

“Traditional media cannot compete any longer for the attention of the public with the ever-present advertising messages in all their formats. We need new innovative and exciting forms we have never come across in our daily lives. An increasing number of customers are asking us about possibility of using this unique form of POS visualization as part of their marketing projects. Most customers exposed to a 3D Philips WOWvx technology demonstration stop asking ‘Why?’ and start to think in terms of ‘When?’ and ‘How big?’ about their Philips 3D display applications,” added Mariusz Chludzinski.
