For this Philips has teamed up with leading IVD partners such as bioMérieux to develop and market a fully-automated handheld rapid diagnostic test solution for use in hospitals at the point-of-care.
Chronic disease management is another domain in which easy- to-use and reliable handheld testing has the potential to simplify healthcare by performing the frequent testing at home. This information can then be entered into the clinical decision support system to enable doctors to manage their patients remotely.
The Magnotech technology offers a flexible platform that can be adapted for multi-analyte protein testing in a wide range of domains like pharma, veterinarian, food etc. Philips is ready to license Magnotech to partners who wish to implement this advanced technology in their products.
